if we did not know contents of chip which cost is 40-50 cents ... We'd

This system is EEPROM reader with USB. Interface chip is EZ-USB(AN2131SC).

Software part is two parts as USB Firmware and PC contorl software (Windows software)

Instruction
- Preparation
- Install software
- Install Driver software
Double click "DriverInstall.vbs". In case of Windows2000, ezusbw2k.inf will be installed to C:\winnt\inf, ezusb.sys, ezmon.sys will be installed to C:\winnt\system32\drivers. In case of WinXP, ezusbw2k.inf will be installed to C:Windows\inf, ezusb.sys, ezmon.sys will be installed to C:\Windows\system32\drivers.
- Install EEPROM-Reader/Writer Software
Copy to anyplace.
- Install USB-board
- USB board is connected to PC, after sotware installation.
Attnetion：You must not connect adaptor cable at this timing.
- Driver setting for USB board.
After Connection of USB-board, you have to select driver location. In case of Windows2000, driver is existing in C:\winnt\inf. In case of WinXP, driver is existing in C:Windows\inf. Unfotunately, this driver does not certification from MicroSoft. However, you can continue.
- Power off ThinkPad
You have to turn off as power of ThinkPad.
- Dis-assemble
Dis-assemble Your ThinkPad.
- Check
Check EEPRM location
- Soldering
Carefully, Soldering EEPRM and adaptor cable.
- Power on ThinkPad
Turn on ThinkPad, soak until password input display appeared.
- Connection adaptor cable and USB-board
- Start Software
Start software as installed "STEP 1:".
- Read out EEPORM data.
Press Read button of software for read out of EEPROM
- Analysis
- For Professional Version: Display password.
- For Standard Version: You have to save and analysis by your self.
- Power off ThinkPad
You have to turn off power of ThinkPad.
- Dis-soldering cable
You remove cable of STEP-4.
- Assemble
Assemble ThinkPad
- Power on ThinkPad
Turn on Power ThinkPad.
- Input Password
Input password which is gotten from STEP-10.
